Job summary

Our client in the aerospace/defence sector is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to drive MBSE-based product development from concept to detailed design, development and testing. You will own system architecture, interfaces and verification strategies within a small, senior engineering team while collaborating with suppliers, leadership and external partners.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher qualification in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Translate concept of operations into structured, traceable system requirements using MBSE.
• Own vehicle architecture, system definition and subsystem interfaces.
• Lead system-level trade studies balancing performance, mass, cost, reliability, manufacturability and schedule.
• Maintain system budgets (mass, power, cost, reliability) through design cycle.
• Define verification and validation strategy and evidence strategy.
