Job summary

Hypersonica, a defence technology company in Europe, seeks a seasoned Systems Engineer to own the system architecture and MBSE-driven requirements across disciplines. You will drive MBSE practice, develop 6-DoF GNC models, and ensure traceability from requirements through tests, contributing to mission-critical aerospace programs.

You will lead design gates from Kick-off to PDR, working in a fast-paced, autonomous environment where decisions matter and accountability is clear.

Qualifications

• Experienced Systems Engineer with a track record in safety-critical environments.
• Fluent in MBSE with ownership of requirements models.
• Strong grounding in closed-loop control theory for high-speed flight or defence systems.
• Experience taking systems through early design gates (Kick-off, PDR).

Responsibilities

• Own the system architecture and system model for high-speed flight vehicles.
• Lead aerospace systems architecture design across disciplines from concept to PDR.
• Build and maintain the authoritative system requirements model with clear traceability.
• Define and own the end-to-end system V-model and readiness gates.
• Apply MBSE to ensure traceability between requirements, models, analyses and tests.
• Develop and deliver a 6-DoF GNC model to PDR standard with flight engineers.
