Job summary

Cambridge Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of complex aerospace and defence systems from concept to delivery. This role spans multidisciplinary engineering activities and requires expertise in key systems engineering skill sets.

You will define architectures, capture requirements, perform analyses, and contribute to safety, verification, and integration activities, working with software, hardware, mechanical, RF, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in systems engineering with MBSE.
• Experience in safety and certification in aerospace/defence.
• Ability to capture and manage requirements with traceability.
• Strong communication of trade-offs and structured thinking.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and maintain system architectures and interfaces.
• Capture, analyse and manage requirements with traceability.
• Perform operational and performance analyses to quantify system behaviour.
• Apply MBSE and systems engineering processes across the lifecycle.
• Support safety, certification, verification, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanical, RF, test and programme teams.
• Contribute to trials, demonstrations, and technical reviews.
