Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to drive requirements, architecture, integration and verification across multidisciplinary systems for space sector communications. You will own allocated systems through development, qualification and operational use, with hands-on testing and demonstrations.

The role covers MBSE and modelling (SysML), producing technical documentation, coordinating with suppliers and partners, and guiding less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering of complex communications and optical/electro-mechanical systems.
• Definition of requirements, system architecture and integration.
• Verification and validation across the engineering lifecycle.
• Practical system testing, troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Exposure to MBSE, SysML or related modelling approaches.
• Production of system documentation and interface definitions.
• Collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own allocated systems or subsystems, including specification and verification activities.
• Define system/subsystem requirements and develop architectures, designs and models.
• Plan and carry out verification, qualification and demonstrations, including interoperability.
• Support system integration, deployment and operation with hands-on testing.
• Identify risks, analyse system behaviour and evaluate options.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and budgets.
• Coordinate subsystem developments with suppliers or subcontractors as needed.
• Contribute to MBSE processes and related engineering tools.
