Job summary

MBDA UK Limited is seeking a Principal Test Engineer to join the Manufacturing team, focusing on test and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems and circuit cards early in the product lifecycle. You will support production targets in time, cost, and quality, and help maintain configuration control and test documentation.

You will work with a small team in a fast-paced environment, delivering test solutions for missile systems, and interfacing with design and operations to meet

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification level 4 or greater in Engineering, Physics or Maths.
• Must include modules for Electronic Principles (digital or analogue) or Electrical Principles.
• Several years' experience in related industry / manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide Test Engineering support during Design/Development through Production Readiness Review.
• Support Test Facility introduction and ensure configuration control of equipment.
• Test electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and diagnose production test failures.
• Collaborate with Operations, design teams and stakeholders to solve technical challenges.
• Deliver work in line with programme and quality requirements and governance.
• Assist in defining project test strategy with test experts and design engineers.
• Assist Manufacturing in initial process flows for new product.
• Create and maintain test documentation for production equipment.
• Support Process FMEA with test mitigations.
• Initialise test fixture designs for new product.
• Estimate time to test new products and support environmental testing.
