Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Principal Test Engineer to join the Manufacturing team, focusing on test and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems and circuit cards early in the lifecycle.

You will provide technical support to the manufacturing test capability to meet time, cost, and quality targets, working with a small, skilled team in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working is available, and DV clearance is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification Level 4 or greater in Engineering, Physics or Maths.
• DV clearance or willingness to obtain DV clearance.
• Experience with electrical/electronic test principles and fault diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Provide Test Engineering support during Design, Development through Production Readiness Review.
• Assist the introduction of test facilities with configuration control and test specs.
• Test electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and cards, diagnosing failures to component level.
• Collaborate with Operations, design teams, and stakeholders to address technical challenges.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and governance of Test Engineering activities.
