Zusammenfassung

MBDA Stevenage is seeking a Test Engineer to support Design through Production Readiness in a fast‑paced defence manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Operations, design teams and Test Experts to create test specifications, fixtures and documentation, and ensure configuration control and governance throughout the product lifecycle.

The role offers a salary circa £52,000, 4–5 days on-site, security clearance, and a range of benefits including a company bonus, pension contributions

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Level 4 engineering qualification or higher.
• Modules in Electronic Principles or Electrical Principles.
• Several years' experience in related industry/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic measurement & test principles and equipment.
• Experience with manual and automated test equipment, preferably defence or similar.
• Familiar with ERP/MES systems (e.g. SAP, MES) for test activities and NCRs.
• Ability to plan and organise work to meet project objectives.
• Strong verbal and written communication; capable of generating test specs and reports.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Provide Test Engineering support from concept through Production Readiness Review.
• Support test facility setup and configuration control prior to use.
• Test electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and diagnose failures to component level.
• Collaborate with Operations, design teams and stakeholders to overcome technical challenges.
• Deliver in line with programme and quality requirements while ensuring governance and continuous improvement.
• Work with Test Experts and design engineers to implement test strategy and testability.
• Assist Manufacturing in compiling initial process flows for new product.
• Create and maintain test documentation for production equipment.
• Support Process FMEA with test mitigations.
• Initialise test fixture designs for new product.
• Estimate time to test new products.
• Support testing of prototypes' functional & environmental tests.
