Job summary

Agincare is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team from our Southampton office, with regular travel to our Head Office in Dorset.

The role delivers high‑quality financial reporting, variance analysis, and management accounting across the organisation, providing leadership to junior staff and partnering with department heads on budgeting and forecasting to drive value and strategic decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
• 2–3 years’ experience in management accounting.
• Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Confident communicator presenting to non‑financial colleagues.
• Highly organised and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Managing the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Producing detailed variance analysis and explanations for performance movements
• Preparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs, and ad‑hoc analysis for senior stakeholders
• Supporting and mentoring junior accounting staff, helping to develop capability and best practice
• Collaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals
• Monitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
• Ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting

Agincare is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the continued success of our growing organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning complex financial data into meaningful insight and influencing decision‑making at a senior level.

Based primarily from our Southampton office, the role will also involve regular travel to our Head Office in Dorset, giving you the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the business.

As Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality financial reporting and analysis, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring the effective delivery of management accounting activities across the organisation.

Working closely with the Senior Accountant, you will provide leadership and guidance to our Management Accountants, driving accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement while helping the finance function deliver real value to the wider business.

What we’re looking for
