Job summary

Agincare is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team at the Southampton office, with regular travel to Head Office in Dorset.

You will deliver high-quality financial reporting and analysis, support strategic decisions, and mentor junior accounting staff, working closely with department heads on budgeting and forecasting to drive better financial performance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
• 2–3 years’ experience in management accounting.
• Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Managing the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Producing detailed variance analysis and clear explanations for performance movements.
• Preparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs, and ad-hoc analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Supporting and mentoring junior accounting staff, helping to develop capability and best practice.
• Collaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals.
• Monitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes.
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting.

Agincare is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the continued success of our growing organisation . This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning complex financial data into meaningful insight and influencing decision- making at a senior level .

Based primarily from our Southampton office, the role will also involve regular travel to our Head Office in Dorset, giving you the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the business.

As Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring the effective delivery of management accounting activities across the organisation . Working closely with the Senior Accountant, you will provide leadership and guidance to our Management Accountants, driving accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement while helping the finance function deliver real value to the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA

2–3 years’ experience in management accounting

Experience in a senior or supervisory role

Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail

Proficiency with financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

Confident communicator able to present financial information to non‑financial colleagues

Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

A collaborative , professional approach and commitment to high standards
