Job summary

Agincare is seeking a talented Senior Management Accountant to join our Dorset finance team in Portland. This full-time role leads the management accounting function, delivering accurate reporting and insightful analysis to support strategic decisions.

You will manage month-end processes, mentor accounting staff, and collaborate with department heads on budgeting and forecasting while upholding high standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA
• 2-3 years' experience in management accounting
• Experience in a senior or supervisory role
• Confident communicator able to present financial information to non-financial colleagues
• Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Managing the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Producing detailed variance analysis and clear explanations for performance movements
• Preparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs, and ad-hoc analysis for senior stakeholders
• Supporting and mentoring junior accounting staff, helping to develop capability and best practice
• Collaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals
• Monitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
• Ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This role is based full time in our Portland office in Dorset. You'll provide high-quality financial analysis, support strategic decision-making, and oversee the delivery of management accounting activities. Requirements
