Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Major Account Executive to sell to existing and new customers in the Carrier industry, managing the full lifecycle from lead generation to renewal. You’ll work with marketing on leads, coordinate with internal teams, and build lasting relationships with senior stakeholders.

The role requires experience with Carrier organizations, selling enterprise software/SaaS to large telecoms, and a track record in account management with executive-level engagement.

Qualifications

• Significant sales experience, especially with Carrier organisations.
• Experience selling enterprise-class technology software, SaaS, and internet-based solutions to large telecom companies.
• Proven ability to manage accounts with short and long term planning, selling value at C-Level.

Responsibilities

• Foster long-term relationships by positioning valued solutions to meet customer needs.
• Maintain sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and manage renewals to minimise churn.
• Prospect and acquire new customers; upsell and cross-sell Akamai portfolio to install base.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customers realise value from Akamai services.
