Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical in Lakenheath, Suffolk. The role focuses on commercial management for a new project from PCSA to completion, working within a supportive team to drive commercial excellence.

The candidate will handle valuations, procurement, cost reporting and cashflow forecasts while mentoring junior staff and maintaining client and supplier relationships. A security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering schemes with JCT/NEC contracts.
• Technical understanding of MEPH services and interfaces.
• Proactive, collaborative and organised with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial activities including valuations, change management and subcontractor administration to maximise project gross margin.
• Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquiries, tender reviews and order production.
• Producing monthly cost reports, risk and opportunity management, and cashflow forecasts.
• Leading and mentoring junior commercial staff and managing workloads.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
