Job summary

Ambercare Limited is seeking a creative, enthusiastic and caring Activities Coordinator to join our activity team. This rewarding role focuses on enhancing quality of life for older residents, including those living with dementia, through meaningful and engaging activities.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme, organise group activities, one-to-one engagement, outings and community involvement, while supporting dignity and person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Friendly and patient person with a genuine desire to work with older people.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and bring fresh ideas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities based on residents' interests and preferences.
• Organise group activities, arts and crafts, music, reminiscence, games and gentle exercise.
• Provide meaningful one-to-one engagement with residents.
• Arrange outings, celebrations and community involvement opportunities.
• Encourage residents' independence, choice and participation in daily activities.
• Collaborate with care staff and Behaviour Support & Engagement Lead to support emotional wellbeing.
• Listen to residents' feedback and adapt activities to changing needs.
