Midland Care Home is seeking a motivated Activities Assistant to develop ongoing weekly activities that stimulate residents and promote wellbeing. You will record activities (some computer based), and lead group and one-to-one sessions, with support from a mentorship and training program.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events / activities for residents.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Friendly, creative and confident.
• Genuine interest in working with the elderly residents.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS Check and where applicable a check against the DBS First List.

Responsibilities

• Develop ongoing weekly activities which stimulate residents and provide a happy environment.
• Record keeping (some computer based).
• Carry out group and one-to-one activities.
• Organise and encourage the team in activities.
