Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant at a specialist SEN school in Preston. The role is full-time, temporary-to-permanent through the agency, starting ASAP, with a competitive daily rate dependent on experience.

You will support pupils aged 4–16 with EHCPs and a range of needs. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assist teachers with differentiated lessons, and help develop pupils' social, emotional and academic skills.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
• A caring, patient and resilient approach.

Responsabilités

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Encouraging pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils to reach goals.
• Supporting pupils with communication, independence and personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider school team.
