Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a dedicated Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Preston. You will support pupils aged 4–16 on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons while fostering social, emotional and academic development.

The role is temporary-to-permanent through the agency with ASAP start. An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) is preferred, and the school offers a supportive environment, ongoing CPD and

  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Preston, Lancashire
Contract: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent through agency

Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Preston for a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The school supports pupils aged 4–16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and complex needs. The school provides a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The role will involve:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Encouraging pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils to reach their individual goals.
  • Supporting pupils with communication, independence, and personal care where required.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team.
