Rutherford is exclusively partnered with a global alternative asset management firm that is seeking an experienced Funds Specialist to join their London team. The firm is embarking on a significant growth initiative across alternative markets, with a particular focus on private credit and infrastructure. The firm offers a hybrid working with 2 - 3 days expected in the office.

The ideal candidate will be 6 - 8+ PQE with a strong track record in fund formations, including experience across both AIFM and UCITS fund structures. This is a broad mandate, offering the opportunity to work within a highly regarded legal management team as they continue to strengthen their platform in response to increasing client demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on the structuring, formation, and operation of alternative investment funds, including AIFM and UCITS products.
  • Supporting fund launches across private credit and other alternative asset classes.
  • Providing legal and regulatory guidance on cross-border fund distribution.
  • Drafting and negotiating fund documentation, including offering memoranda, LPAs, side letters, and service provider agreements.
  • Managing relationships with regulators, external counsel, and service providers.
  • Collaborating with senior management and investment teams on strategic initiatives.
