Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Lead Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and contractual aspects of a major WL2 project. You will oversee pre- and post-contract activities, drive cost control, and ensure robust administration across the project lifecycle.

As a senior professional, you will mentor graduates and coordinate with multiple functions while travelling to sites and offices in the UK. Hybrid working is available with a company car and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering multiple projects and leading contract and commercial management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, risk management, tendering, procurement and commercial negotiations.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline and significant experience on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities across a large-scale project portfolio.
• Provide expert advice on contract management, commercial strategy, budget estimates and risk handling.
• Mentor junior QS staff and coordinate with Project Managers, Planners and Commercial teams.
