National Grid plc is seeking a Lead Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team on the Yorkshire Green Project. You will travel to project sites across Overton and Monk Fryston, typically 3 days a week, supporting procurement and contract management.

The role requires NEC4 contract knowledge, senior stakeholder engagement, and a track record delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. A UK driving licence is essential and flexible working is available.

Formación

• Proven experience delivering multiple large-scale projects.
• Strong in stakeholder engagement, risk management, tendering and commercial negotiations.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline with NEC4 contract knowledge.
• Understanding NEC4 Options A, C and E and drive for site-based delivery.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsabilidades

• Support procurement activities for packages over £100m and advise on contract options and budgets.
• Ensure quality assurance of construction contracts and maintain contractor data records.
• Monitor spend against budgets and KPIs; develop cost forecasts.
• Prepare contract forms such as valuations and payments and review variations/compensation events.
• Build strong relationships with Project Managers, Planners, Accountants and procurement/legal teams.
