Job Description

Senior JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Consultant – Finance

Step into a role where your JDE expertise truly matters.

We’re looking for an experienced JD Edwards Functional Consultant who brings deep Finance knowledge and a passion for service excellence — someone who wants to make a real impact, have a voice, and grow into a leadership role.

In this position, you’ll do far more than keep the lights on. You’ll lead functional direction, shape process improvements, guide and mentor others, and operate as a trusted expert to both the business and our customers. You’ll have the opportunity to work hands‑on with JDE modules, influence how service delivery evolves, and play a visible part in driving continuous improvement across our ERP ecosystem.

This is a role with real ownership — where your ideas will be listened to, your expertise will be valued, and your development will be supported. You’ll work in a collaborative, customer-focused environment, surrounded by strong technical peers, with clear opportunities to expand your leadership responsibilities and take on more strategic direction over time.

If you’re seeking more influence, more strategic contribution, and the chance to grow into a true ERP leader — this is the environment where you’ll thrive.

What You’ll Do — Key Responsibilities
Functional Consulting & Problem Solving

You will:

  • Own the analysis, configuration, and enhancement of key JDE Finance modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, Security)
  • Translate business requirements into functional solutions and optimised processes
  • Conduct gap analyses, recommend improvements, and champion best practice
  • Support testing, training, documentation, and user enablement
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions make practical business impact
People Leadership (with room to grow)

You will:

  • Mentor, guide, and coach team members — supporting their career development
  • Assist with resourcing and workload allocation
  • Help promote a collaborative, supportive, high-performance team culture
  • Provide input into performance reviews, team planning, and training needs
  • Take on increasing people management responsibility as your leadership grows
Service Excellence & ITIL Practices

You will:

  • Oversee end-to-end service delivery across incidents, changes, and problem management
  • Ensure SLA & OLA performance by monitoring progress and supporting team actions
  • Act as an escalation point for difficult or time‑critical cases
  • Use ServiceNow (or similar ITSM) to manage workflow, compliance, and audit trails
  • Participate in the early/late support rota (covering 8am–6pm operations)
  • Drive continuous service improvement with a proactive mindset
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

You will:

  • Represent the team in regular customer‑facing sessions
  • Build trust through excellent communication, follow‑through, and reliability
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers, Account Managers, CNC & technical teams
  • Present functional designs, share insights, and provide progress updates
Qualifications
What You Bring

You will have:

  • Extensive hands‑on JDE experience (Finance modules essential)
  • A background as a team lead, supervisory, or mentoring capacity
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and operational workflows
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar IT service platforms
  • Solid grasp of ITIL methodology and service management principles
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic workload
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Collaborative, proactive, and driven by service quality and customer satisfaction
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

You will have:

  • JDE certifications
  • ITIL Foundation or above
  • Experience in ERP migrations or upgrades
  • Knowledge of integrations with other business systems
