NPAworldwide is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to stay hands-on while guiding teams and shaping technical solutions for a live Central Government project.

You will work in an Agile environment, delivering bespoke software and leading engineers across the full software lifecycle. A strong focus on Java, AWS, React/TypeScript and DevOps is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering scalable APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern delivery practices.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, containers and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
• Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions.
• Provide technical direction and client communication.
• Produce solution architectures and technical designs.
• Build full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
• Design and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS.
• Create CI pipelines using GitLab.
• Work across the full SDLC from requirements to delivery and maintenance.
• Deploy software into public and private clouds.
• Promote high standards of software quality, security and engineering practice.
