Job summary

Anson McCade is partnering with a leading UK technology and software consultancy to hire a Senior Java / Full Stack Engineer for a Central Government delivery team. The role is hybrid and permanent, offering ownership of the software development lifecycle with modern technologies.

The successful candidate will design, develop and test software, build CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, and work across AWS and Azure cloud environments. UK security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Software Engineer or Senior Java/Full Stack Engineer.
• Strong commercial experience with Java and React.
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test high-quality software solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitLab).
• Work with AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Contribute across the full software lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support.
• Collaborate with customers and technical stakeholders.
• Take technical leadership where appropriate to your experience.
