Job summary

iO Associates is seeking experienced Full Stack Software Engineers with strong Java expertise to join an established Agile delivery team working on central government projects. You will design, develop, test and maintain bespoke software solutions, with exposure to AWS/Azure and a broad range of technologies, while meeting customers every two weeks.

The base offices include Plymouth, Manchester, Bristol or Cheltenham, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

Commercial experience developing software with Java.
Experience working across the full stack.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Understanding of software quality, testing, security and CI/CD.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with customers and delivery teams.
consultancy experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

Designing, developing, testing and delivering software solutions.
Working with open-source libraries, frameworks and components.
Creating and maintaining CI pipelines using GitLab.
Supporting software quality, security and automated testing practices.
Deploying systems across AWS and Azure.
Contributing across the full SDLC: requirements, architecture, implementation, delivery.
Training and customer support.
Ongoing maintenance and lifecycle management.
Working collaboratively within an Agile team.
Taking technical leadership and supporting client engagement.
