Based at Ridgeway Academy within Ambition Education Trust, the role offers full-time hours and year-round employment, with a focus on device management, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Windows environments and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Windows 11 and Windows Server environments.
• Google Workspace for Education and Chromebook/ChromeOS administration.
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager and/or Intune.
• Managed network infrastructure, including switches, wireless, VLANs and TCP/IP.
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Printing, classroom technology and associated IT services.
• Cyber security principles, including MFA, endpoint protection, patching and access control.
• IT support/helpdesk processes and effective fault diagnosis.
• Safeguarding responsibilities relating to school IT systems, includingfiltering and monitoring.

PayScale: H6 (SCP 14 - 19 (£30,515 -£33,119)

Hours: 8.00amuntil 4.00pm (37 hours per week)

Ridgeway Academyis part of the Ambition Education Trust (AET). A Senior IT Technician isrequired to join the ICT team at Ridgeway Academy, working full time (52 weeks)to provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff and students and support thereliable, secure and effective operation of IT services across the school. Therole will include supporting and maintaining devices, user accounts, printing,network infrastructure, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and other Trust ITsystems.

Whilst the position is basedat Ridgeway Academy, you will work closely with a team of highly skilled ICTTechnicians and Managers across the Trust and will support wider Trust ITprojects and services as required.

Essential skills andexperience include an understanding of:

• Windows 11 and Windows Server environments
• Google Workspace for Education and Chromebook/ChromeOS administration
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy
• SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager and/or Intune
• Managed network infrastructure, including switches, wireless, VLANs andTCP/IP
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software
• Printing, classroom technology and associated IT services
• Cyber security principles, including MFA, endpoint protection, patching andaccess control
• IT support/helpdesk processes and effective fault diagnosis
• Safeguarding responsibilities relating to school IT systems, includingfiltering and monitoring

Experience of virtualisation, school MIS systems andtechnologies such as PaperCut, Paxton, CCTV, 3CX, filtering/monitoringplatforms and managed network systems would also be advantageous.
