Supply Desk is delighted to be working with a forward-thinking school in Bracknell to appoint a skilled IT Technician. This full-time role supports staff and students with technology across the school and helps maintain ITS infrastructure to ensure teaching and learning run smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have IT support experience, strong Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently within a busy educational setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in IT support or IT technician role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Desirable: experience working in a school/educational setting.
  • Desirable: knowledge of Active Directory, Azure, networking and cloud-based systems.
  • Desirable: safeguarding and data security requirements within education.
  • Desirable: IT qualifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent).
  • Desirable: experience supporting Apple devices, Chromebooks, or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line IT support to staff and students.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Support classroom technology, interactive displays, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions.
  • Assist with network maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Maintain IT inventory and asset registers.
  • Ensure systems remain secure and compliant with data protection policies.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies across the school.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and service providers when required.

Supply Desk is delighted to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking and supportive school in the Bracknell area to appoint a skilled and proactive IT Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy IT team, supporting both staff and students with technology across the school.

This role would suit a technically minded individual with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering excellent IT support in an educational environment.

The Role

As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the school's IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring that technology systems operate efficiently to support teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second-line IT support to staff and students
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
