Job summary

East Coast College is seeking a senior IT professional to join the IT Support Team. The role involves second-line support, resolving complex issues, and delivering IT projects across all campuses.

You will work with the Systems and Network Administrator to ensure a high-quality IT service, support teaching and learning, and travel to campuses as needed. A Level 3 IT qualification and 4+ years of experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IT qualification or equivalent.
• At least four years' experience in a similar IT role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments.
• Understanding of networking, IP infrastructure and IT support processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line IT support to staff and students.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
• Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers and firewalls.
• Assist with IT projects, equipment deployment and network development.
• Train staff on IT systems and software.
• Produce user guides and support the development of junior IT Technicians.

Job description

This post will report to the Systems and Network Administrator and will be required to travel to all campuses on occasions. This is a senior post within the IT Support Team and the post holder will be an experienced, technician capable of dealing with complex technical issues and projects. The post holder will work within the IT Team supporting the daily operations of the College as well as providing second line support and completing assigned projects. The post holder will work closely with the Systems and Network Administrator to resolve complex technical issues, support infrastructure projects and maintain a high-quality IT service.
