Job summary

Spectrum IT in Winchester is seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer for a fully onsite role. You will be the senior technical point for IT issues, owning complex incidents and working across Microsoft technologies, servers, networking, security and cloud services.

This hands-on position requires investigating root causes, resolving challenging problems, and ensuring systems remain reliable and secure.

Qualifications

• 3rd line IT support experience across complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, AD, Entra ID and Exchange.
• Experience investigating root causes and owning incidents end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line technical support, investigating and resolving complex incidents across the business.
• Troubleshoot advanced hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues.
• Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and Exchange.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, mail and group policies in a hybrid Microsoft environment.
• Support physical and virtual servers, storage, networking and cloud services.
• Work with Hyper-V, QNAP, NAKIVO and Wasabi technologies.
• Maintain VOIP via 3CX and Knox MDM for device management.
• Manage system updates, patches, backups, upgrades and deployments.
• Monitor network and system security including firewalls and endpoint protection.
• Investigate security alerts and resolve technical incidents.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and documentation.
• Identify improvements to infrastructure, reliability and performance.
