Job summary

Millgate is seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer in Sheffield, with travel to customer sites as required. You will design, implement and support complex IT solutions, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams.

The role combines technical consultancy, infrastructure design, project delivery and major incident management. You will lead technical projects, provide mentoring, and contribute to internal governance while supporting ISO and information security controls.

Qualifications

Significant experience delivering infrastructure and cloud projects.
Proven experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or Professional Services environment.
Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure implementation experience.
Experience leading technical projects and managing major incidents.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong client-facing communication and consultancy skills.
Experience producing technical designs and project documentation.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Technical Consultancy & Solution Design: engage with clients to understand objectives and produce designs and implementation plans.
Project Delivery & Implementation: lead delivery of complex infrastructure and transformation projects and migrations.
Major Incident Management: act as technical lead for Priority 1 incidents and coordinate response.
Infrastructure & Internal Systems Support: maintain and improve internal IT infrastructure and security.
Technical Leadership & Knowledge Sharing: mentor engineers and develop technical standards.
Documentation & Governance: produce clear technical docs and ensure compliance with policies.
