Job summary

IMT Resourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Engineer in Bromsgrove for a hands-on role within a growing MSP. You will scope, design and deliver infrastructure, cloud, networking and security projects from initial consultation through implementation and handover.

The role requires 5+ years in MSPs, strong networking, Windows Server/Entra ID, M365 and Azure experience, plus a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' MSP experience with project responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on networking covering switching, routing, VLANs, trunking, LACP and STP.
• Experience configuring WatchGuard or Meraki firewalls.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory / Entra ID and virtualization.
• Experience delivering Microsoft 365 and Azure projects.
• VPNs, wireless networking and backup/DR experience.
• Strong customer-facing and technical consultancy skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• CompTIA Network+ and related certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design and deliver infrastructure and cloud projects for a varied customer base
• Deploy Windows Server, Active Directory / Entra ID, Hyper-V / VMware and backup & DR solutions
• Deliver Microsoft 365 and Azure projects, including migrations and infrastructure improvements
• Configure switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and wireless networks
• Implement endpoint protection, patch management and DLP solutions
• Support security assessments including Cyber Essentials, PCI-DSS and vulnerability assessments
• Provide technical consultancy, clearly explaining solutions, options and trade-offs to customers
• Work with account managers to define project scope, timelines, deliverables and quotations
• Produce accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and configuration notes
• Attend customer sites for installations and complex technical work where required
