Job summary
Smart IT Group is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join the team in Gateshead. You will manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers, identify IT solution opportunities, and work with technical teams to deliver tailored services across cybersecurity, cloud, connectivity and more.
The role focuses on building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, understanding client requirements, and achieving targets and KPIs.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of IT Account Management, IT Sales or Business Development experience.
- Experience with SME or commercial customers.
- Understanding of IT solutions and services.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into practical IT solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing business customers and build long-term relationships.
- Regularly engage with customers to understand IT requirements and future plans.
- Identify opportunities for account growth across hardware, software, cybersecurity, cloud, connectivity, telecoms and managed IT services.
- Prepare quotes, proposals and presentations for customers.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop appropriate solutions and ensure smooth delivery.
