Job summary

DVLA in Swansea invites applications for two Senior Interaction Designers to drive user-centred design across high-profile government digital services. You will mentor others, set direction on complex activities, and embed best practice while delivering services used by millions of people daily.

You will influence service and experience, participate in shaping priorities, and work in a people-focused environment that supports development and recognition.

Qualifications

• Experience in user centred design approaches and mentoring teams.
• Ability to create high fidelity prototypes for usability testing.
• Strong ability to explain design decisions to non-design stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts with service managers and programme directors to align work with strategic objectives and user needs.
• Create and iterate prototypes at higher fidelity for usability testing, including dynamic HTML.
• Explain design decisions and risks to stakeholders and document them clearly.
• Lead research-informed decisions and analyse findings to guide future usability testing.
• Guide a team of interaction designers to achieve optimal design performance.
