Job summary

Public Health Wales is seeking a Senior Interaction Designer to join a national transformation programme. The role is a fixed-term 12-month post to design and improve complex digital services, translating user needs and technical requirements into clear, accessible interactions.

You will craft user journeys, wireframes and high-fidelity designs using Figma, work with researchers to apply insights, and collaborate with developers to deliver user-centred solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field with senior level interaction design experience.
• Proficiency in designing accessible, user-centred digital services across multiple products.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience on large digital transformation programmes and creating clear user journeys and designs using Figma.

Responsibilities

• Design accessible interfaces and interactions for weight management digital services.
• Create, test and iterate user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
• Work with researchers to understand user needs and apply insights to design decisions.
• Collaborate with developers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver usable solutions.
• Translate complex information into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Establish design patterns and best practices across products and services.
• Represent user needs in stakeholder discussions and communicate decisions with evidence.
• Mentor colleagues and grow design capability across teams.
