Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the United Kingdom is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to lead town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to secure consent under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008 and related regimes. You'll provide strong technical leadership, manage client expectations, and coordinate applications, with opportunities to act as Planning Expert Witness and Project Director on

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
• Member of RTPI.

Responsibilities

• Leading the town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc).
• Providing strong technical leadership and advice to clients, managing their consenting requirements.
• Co-ordinating the preparation and submission of consent applications under relevant acts.
• Acting as Project Director for projects led by the Infrastructure Planning business.
• Acting as Planning Expert Witness at examinations or hearings.
• Leading on complex negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders.
