Job summary

WSP in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our town planning and consenting team. You will contribute to securing consent for major and nationally significant infrastructure projects under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and Planning Act 2008, working within multi-disciplinary teams across sectors.

The role requires degree-level town planning qualification and RTPI membership or eligibility, with proven client advisory skills, and experience in managing

Qualifications

• Experience securing consent for major infrastructure on national scales.
• Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver consents.
• Knowledge of Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and Planning Act 2008.
• RTPI member or eligible for RTPI membership.

Responsibilities

• Support town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
• Provide technical advice to clients and manage their consenting requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under applicable regimes.
