Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning team in Manchester.

You will support town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams to secure approvals. The role requires leading on complex negotiations, providing technical leadership to clients, and coordinating consent applications under the Town and Country Planning Acts.

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning; RTPI member preferred.
• Experience leading consenting inputs on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
• Provide technical leadership and advice to clients, managing their consenting requirements.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of consent applications under planning acts.
• Act as Project Director for Infrastructure Planning projects.
• Lead complex negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
• Demonstrate strong project management and financial awareness within a consultancy.
• Line management and mentoring of colleagues.
