Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the United Kingdom is searching for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning team and support town planning and consenting inputs on national projects.

You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to secure consents under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008 and related regimes. You will lead technical guidance for clients, shape project strategies, mentor colleagues and represent the team at hearings.

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning or equivalent with RTPI membership.
• Proven experience leading town planning or consenting inputs on major infra projects.
• Experience securing consents under relevant acts (Planning Act 2008, Town and Country Planning Act).
• Strong leadership, client-facing capabilities, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
• Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications.
• Act as Project Director for Infrastructure Planning projects.
• Serve as Planning Expert Witness at examinations or hearings.
• Negotiate with statutory bodies and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and manage project delivery.
