Job summary

Engine by Starling is building a cloud‑native banking platform and seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and run scalable infrastructure on GCP across regions. You will own automation, security‑by‑design, and CI/CD pipelines, with exposure to Terraform, Kubernetes, IAM, and observability tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP with multi-region disaster recovery.
• Hands-on with Terraform code and security-by-design practices across large environments.
• Familiarity with IAM, VPC, Network Connectivity and cloud-native observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, build and maintain scalable infrastructure on GCP.
• Ensure performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness of cloud environments.
• Automate and reduce manual work; lead complex infrastructure projects end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, RFCs, and ADRs for production readiness.
• Collaborate across teams to shape Engine’s future capabilities and architecture.
