Job description

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Architect to lead the strategic design, implementation, and governance of enterprise infrastructure across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments. This role ensures that all infrastructure systems are secure, scalable, and cost‑effective, supporting both current and future business needs.

The Infrastructure team provides structure, control, and monitoring for technical operations spanning hardware, software, and networking in physical and virtual environments. Our mission is to minimise downtime, maintain productivity, and optimise processes through technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain infrastructure architecture across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Define and evolve infrastructure standards, patterns, and frameworks.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for infrastructure solutions, including data centres, cloud platforms, networking, servers, and storage.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, operations, and application teams to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements for performance, resilience, and scalability.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud migration, hybrid environments, and automation.
  • Lead capacity planning and performance optimisation.
  • Ensure governance and compliance with change management and security processes.
  • Act as technical authority and product owner for selected infrastructure components.
  • Support project delivery through high‑level designs and architecture reviews.
  • Drive disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Promote infrastructure automation and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering best practices.
Skills & Experience
  • Deep understanding of network infrastructure and secure configuration.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT security and secure operations.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.
  • Experience in infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform).
  • Skilled in managing enterprise technologies such as:
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 suite, Exchange Online, Teams Admin.
  • Networking (VLANs, VPNs, routing), firewalls, SD‑WAN.
  • Integration platforms and virtualisation technologies.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Proficient in change and incident management processes.
  • Logical, analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, managing competing priorities.
