Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Manager - IFRS 9 Accounting & Controls based in Birmingham. The role focuses on overseeing IFRS 9 accounting and control processes, delivering UK balance sheet reporting, and strengthening SOX controls.

You will engage senior stakeholders across regulatory reporting, FINREP, and impairment data remediation with a focus on accuracy and timely decision-support.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with UK bank/financial services IFRS reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 9 and related regulatory disclosures.
• Experience interpreting FINREP and PRA returns.
• Proven ability to lead data quality and remediation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing IFRS 9 reporting for UK balance sheet and review reporting solutions.
• Perform monthly expected credit loss pack reviews and variance analysis.
• Provide technical review of outputs and quarterly reporting reviews.
• Run data quality/ remediation activities and support automation projects.
• Own and operate controls (SOX) and strengthen the IFRS 9 control framework.
