Job summary

Michael Page partnered client in the UK to recruit a Financial Reporting Senior Manager. You will lead production of statutory and interim group financial statements, acting as IFRS expert and overseeing the audit process. Hybrid working, strong governance and stakeholder engagement are key.

The role requires experience in complex consolidations within a regulated financial services context, with a focus on accuracy and high-quality reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong IFRS and technical accounting expertise.
• Experience producing complex consolidated financial statements.
• Background within banking, investment management, financial services or another similarly regulated environment.
• Previous experience managing external audits.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality reporting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• ability to work collaboratively whilst influencing senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of statutory and interim financial statements across a group of entities.
• Act as the subject matter expert on IFRS and technical accounting matters.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee the audit process.
• Ensure robust financial governance, controls and compliance standards are maintained.
• Oversee financial asset and liability reporting, including IFRS 9 assessments and documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and audit trails.
• Support the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide technical accounting guidance and support.
