Job summary

Okta is seeking a Solutions Engineer in the UK&I to guide customers through their identity journey, from initial engagement to upsell and cross-sell, delivering sales presentations and product demos that educate stakeholders from developers to C‑level executives on securing identity.

As a Solutions Engineer you will blend technical savviness with business insight, advise a diverse set of customers on what is possible with Okta’s Identity Platform, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and

Qualifications

PreSales experience required (Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, PreSales Consultant).
Ability to communicate complex ideas on the fly at a whiteboard.
Knowledge of at least one standard network security protocol (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP).
IAM/IGA: identity lifecycle management, access reviews, RBAC, policy enforcement.
PAM concepts: least privilege, JIT access, session monitoring, vaulting credentials.

Responsibilities

Be involved in all stages of the customer's sales lifecycle as trusted technical advisor.
Build sales presentations, product demonstrations, and educate customers on securing identity.
Empathise with customers to discern their technical needs and present targeted solutions.
Advise diverse customers on what's possible using Okta's Identity Platform.
