Job summary

Stevenage Borough Council is seeking an ICT Senior Network and Telephony Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of the council’s network underpinning the ICT infrastructure, systems and applications.

You will work closely with the Network and Telephony Manager, project managers and external partners to resolve complex issues and design, implement and maintain robust network and telephony solutions, with proactive monitoring and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex ICT issues escalated by other ICT support teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust Network and Telephony solutions.
• Proactive monitoring, capacity planning and ensuring systems meet evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project delivery in network and telephony arenas.
• Help ensure that the Council's buildings stay connected and staff can communicate.
