Job summary
Rheinmetall Defence UK in Telford is seeking a proactive 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join our IM&T team at the Telford facility with occasional UK travel. You will provide high-level technical support, oversee migrations from outsourced vendors, and act as the internal authority for complex incidents.
The role requires experience in 3rd line systems administration, Microsoft 365, Windows AD, Intune, and ITIL processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in a dedicated 3rd line systems administration or infrastructure support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments and Windows Active Directory.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar).
- Ability to engage stakeholders and manage cross-site support requirements.
- Security awareness and willingness to obtain UK Security Check clearance.
Responsibilities
- Insourcing & transition support to migrate services to internal IM&T team.
- 3rd line escalation to resolve complex incidents and coordinate vendor support.
- Telford site support for core IT infrastructure and assets.
- Cross-site mobility to support deployments and upgrades at other Rheinmetall sites.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement modern IT solutions for a growing user base.
