Job summary

Bechtle UK in Northamptonshire is seeking a 3rd Line Engineer to deliver advanced support for enterprise infrastructure. You will act as escalation point for 1st/2nd line teams, maintain high standards of customer service, and drive incident resolution across Windows Server, AD, Exchange, RDS, networking and storage environments.

The role involves on-site support as needed, regular SLA compliance, and collaboration with field engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a 3rd line technical support role, covering core infrastructure.
• Proven experience with enterprise technologies such as Windows Server, AD, Exchange and RDS.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security devices, virtualization and storage systems.
• Experience with Dell/HP server hardware is advantageous.
• Industry certifications are highly desirable and will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line technical support to Bechtle customers and log incidents promptly.
• Escalate to service team leaders as appropriate and communicate progress to customers.
• Collaborate with 1st/2nd line staff and field engineers to maintain service quality.
• Assist with incident root cause analysis and implement countermeasures.
• Create and maintain customer infrastructure documentation and runbooks.
• Provide on-site support when required and ensure SLA adherence.
• Support problem management and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
