Job summary

Engineering Excellence is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily scheduling and dispatch of field technicians to job sites. This role acts as the main contact between customers and field staff, ensuring timely service and effective communication while prioritising jobs by urgency and availability.

The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking abilities, excellent customer service skills and experience with dispatching software to streamline operations and meet service level agreements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year dispatch experience.
• Experience using dispatching software in an admin/operational setting.
• Excellent customer-service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in teams and independently.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from customers and route calls to the appropriate person.
• Receive and prioritize service requests, documenting details and location.
• Schedule and dispatch field technicians based on availability, skill set, proximity and priority.
• Monitor technician schedules and progress, adjusting as needed to maximize productivity.
• Provide customers with updates on technician arrival times and service status.
• Maintain customer records and ensure payments over the phone comply with CPI rules.
• Update capacity planner for new bookings, reschedules or cancellations.
• Maintain knowledge of company products, services and promotions.
