Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to deliver HV substation design and grid-scale power infrastructure across the UK and Ireland. You will drive primary plant layouts, equipment specifications and engineering input from concept through energisation on major projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience on HV projects.
• Experience with major utilities or developers.
• Experience as a designer or project engineer.
• Experience developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Produce equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment.
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake an Owners' Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
• Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects (e.g., Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind generation).
• Provide professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseas.
• Driving excellence.
