Zusammenfassung

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer based in the UK or Ireland to work on HV substations and grid-scale projects. You’ll produce primary plant layouts, equipment specifications, and provide input on major infrastructure programs, including energy transition initiatives.

You’ll join a global team delivering high‑impact energy infrastructure with a hybrid working model, career development opportunities, and access to AECOM University and volunteering days.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and related professional competencies.
• Experience on HV projects with utilities or developers.
• Ability to develop specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS and AIS switchgear.
• Excellent technical report writing and communication.
• Flexibility to work across multiple projects and travel as needed.
• Fluency in English and full driving license.

Aufgaben

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Produce equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment.
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake an Owners’ Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
• Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects (Battery, Solar, Hydro, Wind).
• Provide professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseas.
