AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Transmission and Distribution team in the UK or Ireland. You will work on HV substations, developing plant layouts, equipment specs and design input for major infrastructure projects.

You will contribute to renewables and energy storage schemes, acting as a senior technical lead across multiple projects with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• A recognized degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience on HV projects and utilities.
• Proficiency in technical reporting and electrical design documentation.
• Experience as designer or project engineer across multiple schemes.
• Ability to develop specifications for substations, transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear.
• Willingness to travel and work across UK/Ireland.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Full driving license for site visits as required.

Responsabilités

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Prepare equipment specifications for HV plant and related equipment.
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Act as Owners’ Engineer on HV substation/cable/OHL projects.
• Contribute HV design input to renewables projects (battery, solar, hydro, wind).
• Provide professional services to clients in the UK, Ireland and overseas.
