Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the Transmission and Distribution team on HV substations and grid-scale projects. Based in the UK or Ireland, you will contribute from concept through energisation on major energy infrastructure programs, including opportunities with national grids and hyperscalers.

You will work on diverse projects such as battery storage, solar, hydro and wind, and provide engineering input across multiple sites, including potential

Qualifications

• Experience of working on HV projects.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in technical report writing.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.
• Ideally consultancy experience or advisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Produce equipment specifications for HV plant and related equipment.
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake an Owners' Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
• Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects (storage, solar, hydro, wind).
• Provide professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseas.
• Drive excellence in project delivery.
