Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead to own all electrical engineering for the EPC function, from design through energisation across Solar PV, BESS, Wind, and data centres.

You will be the technical authority for HV/MV systems, hold a NERS authorisation, and lead a team of engineers, SAPs and commissioning specialists to deliver safe, compliant grid connections and high-integrity electrical designs.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in HV/MV electrical engineering within power, utilities, distribution or renewables.
• Current NERS authorisation as Authorising Officer, Technical Advisor or Qualified Supervisor.
• Experience leading and developing engineers, SAPs and commissioning teams.
• Deep experience of substations, protection systems, cable networks and grid connection design.
• Strong knowledge of UK grid standards and processes: DNO/TSO, Grid Code, G99/G100.
• Hands-on HV commissioning, testing and energisation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical engineering for the EPC function from design through energisation.
• Act as HV/MV SME across infrastructure projects including substations and grid connections.
• Set electrical design standards and ensure consistent application across the portfolio.
• Review and approve electrical designs from internal teams and partners.
• Provide technical challenge to drive safe, compliant and cost-effective solutions.
• Lead Electrical Design Engineers, SAPs and Commissioning Engineers; allocate resources.
• Maintain accreditation records and support NERS and DNO audits.
